Frank is president and co-founder of Sagebrush Tours Inc.. Frank hails from Vancouver but lives with his wife and two children in the Okanagan. As a city boy, Frank was different. He liked the outdoors and especially a nearby creek. He spent countless hours wading in and out of the creek, overturning stones, and picking up anything that moved! His love of nature and wild places has remained a passion throughout life. Frank has also gained a real appreciation for wine after moving to the Okanagan. The wine from the Okanagan is world acclaimed and finding more and more devotees from around the world. On a wine tour with Sagebrush Tours you are treated to both a knowledge of fine wine and the landscape. No other tour provider has this expertise and insight.
Frank worked for 31 years as a Park Naturalist with Alberta Parks. He founded the Lesser Slave Lake Bird Observatory in 1993 and was a leader in the effort to establish the Boreal Centre for Bird Conservation. He is an accomplished natural and cultural history interpreter/trainer with expertise in the boreal forest, Canadian Rocky Mountains and now Okanagan Valley. His enthusiasm for the natural world and wine is contagious. You will see.

Carol is the co-founder of Sagebrush Tours Inc and its Vice- President. She a native Calgarian and professional biologist who has spent time tromping around the foothills of Alberta riding horses, skiing, watching birds, camping and backpacking. She is skilled at understanding human-wildlife interaction, wildlife management and wildlife tracking. Her wish is to combine her skills in ecology and wildlife to connect people with nature in the Rockies and the Okanagan Valley of Canada. She has a particular passion for the misunderstood, but vital insect-eating bat. Carol worked for 17 years in Alberta’s Oil and Gas industry as an Environmental Biologist. Carol and her husband Dylan have two children. In her community, Carol is on the Board of Directors of the Alberta Ecotrust and a Team Lead for Draft Horse Town - a destination showcasing the history of the Draft Horse during the annual Calgary Stampede. She is a certified hiking field leader with the Outdoor Council of Canada and an Apprentice Interpretive Guide with the Interpretive Guide Association.

Eve Layman grew up on the west coast of BC, spending summers with her family exploring the Gulf Islands, beaches and watching for orcas. After getting her degree from UVIC in Biology and Environmental Studies, she moved to the Okanagan and has been living in Kelowna with her husband and daughter. Eve also works for Habitat Conservation Trust Foundation Education as a Wild BC Facilitator and is a certified hiking field leader with the Outdoor Council of Canada. When not leading Wild BC programs, she can be found coaching Dragon Boat teams on Okanagan Lake.
