The Okanagan Desert Tour, located in the Osoyoos area, is an unforgettable experience. Travel by foot through Canada’s only desert in search of secretive and fascinating creatures found nowhere else in Canada. Snakes, scorpions, and thrashers are some of the creatures you may see. On the way, magnificent animals such as mountain goat and bighorn sheep are regular seasonal sights. The pallid bat is known in Canada only from the South Okanagan. Find out its favourite prey – you will be surprised. Botanists will enjoy bright yellow bells and bitterroot in the spring, followed later by evening primroses, blazing-stars, gumweeds, and the delicate mariposa lily.
